The Senate Banking Committee (SBC) has scheduled a hearing for next Thursday, April 18th at 10:00am ET, to examine the Federal Housing Finance Agency's (FHFA) role as regulator and conservator.
This hearing may include a discussion on the FHFA's lender-placed insurance proposal to prohibit certain compensation paid to servicers by carriers.
The witnesses will be Edward DeMarco, Acting Director, Federal Housing Finance Agency and the Honorable Steve A. Linick, Inspector General, Federal Housing Finance Agency Office of the Inspector General.
ABIA will attend the hearing and provide a summary of any discussion that could impact banks that sell insurance.
