Dozens of ABIA members are meeting in Washington, D.C., today to hear from policymakers about the challenges facing banks operating insurance businesses.
Speakers on the ABIA Washington Forum agenda include Federal Insurance Office Director Michael McRaith; CFPB Assistant Director Dan Smith; Rep. Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-La.); House Financial Services Insurance Subcommittee Chairman Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas); and Senate Banking Insurance Subcommittee Ranking Member Mike Johanns (R-Neb.).
Topics include flood insurance reform, CFPB regulation, the FIO’s recent report on modernizing insurance regulation, and the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act reauthorization, an ABIA priority that was the subject of a Senate Banking Committee hearing yesterday.
