Key Congressional Speakers Confirmed for the ABIA Washington Forum

We are pleased to announce that Senator David Vitter (R-LA) and Congressman Michael Grimm (R-NY) will speak at the ABIA Washington Forum.
 
Senator David Vitter (R-LA) serves on the Senate Banking Insurance Subcommittee and is a leader in flood insurance reform. He can also address the Senate Banking Committee's legislative priorities, including TRIA reauthorization, the recent report from the Federal Insurance Office and producer licensing (NARAB).
 
Congressman Michael Grimm (R-NY) serves on the House Financial Services Committee, cosponsored HR 508 on TRIA and sponsored HR 3370, the Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act.

Two of our confirmed speakers, Sen. Johanns and Chairman Neugebauer will speak to attendees about the CFPB's potential jurisdiction over the business of insurance.

In addition to Senator Vitter and Congressman Grimm, our confirmed speakers include:
  1. Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) will address flood insurance and the Affordable Care Act. 
  2. Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (D-NY) serves on the House Financial Services Committee, cosponsored HR 508 on TRIA and will also address flood insurance and other topics.
  3. Chairman Randy Neugebauer (R-TX), with the House Financial Services Insurance Subcommittee will speak about the CFPB's regulations that impact insurance, the recent report from the Federal Insurance Office, flood insurance, producer licensing (NARAB) and TRIA.
  4. Senator Mike Johanns (R-LA), Ranking member of the Senate Banking Insurance Subcommittee, will address the CFPB's regulations that impact insurance, producer licensing (NARAB), TRIA, and the priorities of the Senate Banking Committee's Insurance Subcommittee.
The ABIA Washington Forum is free and will offer attendees the opportunity to hear from key members of Congress, followed by a networking reception at The Monocle.
